Since joining BioScience Managers, Işıl has worked on fund raising, portfolio management, and international activities and relations through her extensive network of academics.
Experience
Işıl is a molecular biologist who brings over two decades of expertise to the intersection of academic research, translational science and life science technology development. As co-founder of the Ulysses Advisory Group, she worked with life science and investment companies to assist develop and bring promising technologies to the global market. She was formerly the Director of R&D at Bio Istanbul. Prior to that, she was a research associate at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, where her work involved the identification of novel therapeutic targets for the treatment of advanced prostate cancer.
Qualifications
Işıl obtained her PhD from Brown University in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology and Biochemistry, where she studied the molecular mechanisms of cancer and cellular aging. She is the author of numerous publications in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.
