Role
As the Managing Partner of BioScience Managers in Türkiye, Işıl leads initiatives in fundraising, portfolio management, and fostering international collaborations. Her work leverages an extensive network to advance healthcare innovation and drive impactful outcomes.
Experience
Işıl has dedicated her career to bridging the gap between groundbreaking science and real-world applications. She co-founded Ulysses Advisory Group, where she collaborated with life science and investment companies to identify and commercialise transformative technologies. Previously, she served as the Director of R&D at Bio Istanbul and was a research associate at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Her research focused on identifying novel therapeutic targets for advanced prostate cancer.
Qualifications
Işıl earned her PhD in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, and Biochemistry from Brown University, where she investigated the molecular mechanisms of cancer and cellular aging. She is a published author in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals and continues to contribute to advancing healthcare through scientific and strategic innovation.
