Adherium’s UK Partner awarded place on prestigious NHS Innovation Accelerator for Hailie Digital Inhaler

Link here: Adherium Limited is pleased to announce that its UK value-add distribution partner, Helicon  Health Ltd, has been awarded a prestigious 3 year Fellowship on the 2023 NHS Innovation Accelerator (NIA), to boost their new Director of Operations, Sander Ten Veldhuijs, in scaling the Hailie® Digital Inhaler solution across NHS England.

The NIA programme involves a rigorous, multi-stage application and assessment process that includes evaluation by a panel of clinical, patient, and commercial assessors, and we are proud that both Sander and the Hailie Solution, have been selected to help address the unmet needs of Asthma and COPD patients.

The Hailie Digital Inhaler is a Bluetooth-based medication adherence solution that utilises sensors attached to regular inhalers, providing patients with real-time feedback via the Hailie app, and clinicians with secure access to patient data through a web  portal. Helicon Health provide the full service to ensure successful deployment such as advanced patient finding, business case development, pathway redesign and customer support.

The NIA program, commissioned by the NHS Accelerated Access Collaborative, is an award-winning NHS England initiative that accelerates the uptake of promising innovations to benefit patients, populations, and NHS staff in line with the NHS Long Term Plan priorities. It is delivered in partnership with the 15 Academic Health Science  Networks (AHSNs) and hosted by UCLPartners.
